Lets Make A Record

I run a small Crown-Heights based studio called Smite Club.  I have recorded EPs, full albums, soundtracks, drums, horns, and most importantly — vocalists.  I’ve worked for artists, bands, and even circuses.  I’ve mixed electronic, acoustic, rock bands, big band, and jazz records.  I’ve written and arranged the music for podcasts, for soundtracks, for full fledged shows.  I’ve produced on albums in studio and in the box.  I am a working, performing musician and have access to the best session musicians in the city.

I love working on music — it’s just what I do!  Either as a producer, mix engineer, or recording remotely, I am here to collaborate. I also make a damn good cup of pour over coffee.

Keep Moving Forward, Jan Esbra’s debut EP as as singer-songwriter, is one of my favorite examples of what a collaboration can be.

Over the course of five days, we fully tracked and produced this EP. This immersive, cinematic, heartfelt record is a great example of what happens when trust is totally complete in a studio. We had the space and time to explore ideas to fruition. I love working with artists in this sphere — let me know when you’re ready and we’ll make something together!
